About NuScribes A new breed of writters!

This platform is combines new ways of publishing books, discovering writers and enjoying books in a whole new and flexible way online and offline.

The innovation introduces a self-publishing model in which authors enrolled onto the platform get to author books with simple, online editors directly on the platform, review their work, and then finally self-publish the polished or draft pieces for the entire world to read!

The entire world can browse all free and public NuScribes libraries; either reading the books directly online, or downloading portable, standard e-book formats (EPUB), for reading offline on any ebook reader software of their liking; on mobile, tablet or desktop.

NuScribes is especially aimed at a new breed of young, creative and adventurous writers, and especially with a hope to inspire many otherwise unpublished and uncelebrated talent in schools (especially girls) all across Africa, to get their voice to the whole world for Free!

Why Books? Books are immortal! So, instead of encouraging writers to focus on blogs, essays and such, we aim to inspire more writers to embrace one of the most powerful mediums of communication ever concieved by man - the book. So, though traditional publishing is out of reach for most aspiring writers, we on the otherhand aspire to not compromise on quality, without letting costs get in the way of creativity and talent exposure. We aspire to be the best and most affordable publishing service any writer will ever be capable of accessing, anywhere!

We also aspire to inspire more africans to read and write constructive books, not just online, but offline as well, as a more progressive and recreational means to spend time - in the process, nurturing and inspiring the next generation of eminent african intellectuals and scholars.

Mosquitoes & The Art of the Serial Killer

Mosquitoes & The Art of the Serial Killer

by Sgt. Fixx, aka. Worshipful Enemy of the Mosquito Race

Let's face it, here's the latest WHO stats on Malaria

About 3.2 billion people – nearly half of the world's population – are at risk of malaria. In 2015, there were roughly 214 million malaria cases and an estimated 438 000 malaria deaths. Increased prevention and control measures have led to a 60% reduction in malaria mortality rates globally since 2000.

When I say let's get serious about killing these bloody bastards, some folks be quacking! And who said all wars have to be fought with mere wrath and a disregard for humor? To those ready for bloody war against these Mosquito races (yes, there's even those who've brought the Zika to us), let's get started...

Before I Die, I want to..

Before I Die, I want to..

by Joe The Collector

Thousands of people were asked that question in various places all over the world (see the Project here), and in this piece, I attempt to collect together a good number of them - taking care to not echo most duplicates, but again, preserve an idea of what dreams most people had. Definitely, there could be bias in the chocies I made (I can't say I was objectively random), but I tried to be fair to all sorts of perspectives - including the ones that admitted to being clueless!

Okay, personally, were I to answer this question, my answer would already be somewhere on line...

What about you? Which of these responses resonates the most with you? Do you think it worth to ask this question, and try answering it?

The Art of Nu Scribes

The Art of Nu Scribes

by Nemesis Fixx

Welcome to NuScribes!

This little book here, is a work in progress, re-introducing writing to all aspiring writers out there. It is the objective of this little book, to cast writing in a whole new light, to inspire and help nurture the sprouting soul of the writer in each one of us. To both tickle and straighten the appreciation of writing as an art - a divine, mystical art at that. To introduce writing as we care about it here on NuScribes, and to introduce you, the potential scribe, to this wonderful haven of writers called Nu Scribes.

Don't be shy, go straight ahead and dive in...

Wrong Recipes? Cook Right!

Wrong Recipes? Cook Right!

by Fra. Cwa

This book's meant to be a collection of recipes I've merely improvised, regardless of whether they turned out to be delicious, nutritious or not... These are my experiments in the art of cooking ;-)

Who knows, maybe one or more recipes in here will inspire you to remix one of the dishes here, and make me some delightful gastronomic madness next time I dine at yours! There's always 9 ways to cook a cat during one lifetime, right?

Social Medias Gone WILD!

Social Medias Gone WILD!

by Nemesis Fixx

This is a collection of micro-tales, viral jokes, overhyped alerts, underrated maxims and other things I've witnessed while giving audience to the friendly, talkative folks on Social Media.

Many times, these messages, which typically are aimed at groups - esp. WhatsApp Groups, contain verbatim instructions for the recipient to forward the message to others! I typically don't find it prudent to obey, and so have chosen to systematically disobey, by instead curating some of these messages here, so in the future, everyone that'd have pointed fingers at me or accused me for not sharing, can instead thank me - yes, am sure many will have deleted these, or long forgotten about them, by the time the next viral distraction comes along!

Alright, friends, brothers, siststers and babysitters, here we go...
